I've also felt the impact of the merger between Tutorfair and Superprof. Like the previous reviewer, I'm a professional tutor who's relied on the Tutorfair site for many years now.

We got very little heads-up before being informed about the supposed smooth transition to Superprof. I'm out hundreds of pounds because the new platform is meant to reimburse tutors. Since my clients are from all over the globe, they’ve chosen to deal directly with me. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen a payment in 10 days due to a bunch of issues.

It's really disappointing for Tutorfair to treat dedicated professionals this way.

I've been a tutor with Tutorfair for several years. Out of the blue, they informed us about merging with another company, which basically means they got bought out. They assured us that the transition would be seamless and that all our details would be transferred to the new platform without any hiccups. But here I am, struggling to get my information sorted and, more crucially, to receive the payment I’m owed. After all this time being loyal, I feel utterly let down by how 'Tutor-Unfair' has treated its tutors. Not cool at all. Superprof is a subpar platform, and we weren’t consulted or given enough heads-up. I’m really upset about how we’re being treated. I’d recommend steering clear of Tutorfair in any shape or form, as well as Superprof. I discovered a fantastic tutor, but the platform leaves a lot to be desired. The messages from the site are pretty confusing when trying to chat with the tutor. I had no luck in scheduling lessons and I'm still scratching my head about what went awry. Honestly, I'm just glad it hasn't completely wasted all my time trying to set up lessons.

Top-notch tutoring experience. Having been a tutor for over three years with this company, I've encountered plenty of great students. They show respect and provide support to their tutors throughout the lessons. I highly suggest Tutorfair to both students and fellow tutors. Overall, it's a dependable and professional service.

This company is just plain awful and totally unfair, operating with a lack of professionalism and no real guidelines. The managers, particularly a person named Hannah, seem clueless when it comes to handling their tutors and often don’t answer calls. They disregard proper procedures and, honestly, are pretty ungrateful. I’m really not happy with this company.

I started using Tutorfair recently. I managed to find 2 awesome tutors for one of my kids, but the other two for my daughter were just terrible.

The customer service here is downright awful. If everything's fine, then great, but if there's an issue? Forget about it. No protocol and zero responses.

Parents are required to provide their address during registration, which raises safety concerns. Since all our lessons are online, I shouldn’t have to share my address.

One tutor seemed a bit off, teaching psychology of all things. He called me nearly 20 times even though we didn’t have a lesson scheduled. I think he even showed up at our place. Good thing I gave him the wrong address.

The other tutor canceled our first trial lesson and then completely forgot about the paid one he agreed to. He promised a refund, but that hasn’t happened. I reached out to Tutorfair, but there’s been no reply. I tried to report the tutor's absence through the feedback form they send after lessons, but the link to report that the lesson didn’t occur leads to an error page. You can only say everything went well, and anything else just takes you to an error page. This site is a mess and quite risky. I’ve had to file a claim to get my money back.

Avoid this place at all costs.

Great math instructor. A solid class for math.

The Maths Mastery class has really helped me understand some of the tougher concepts in both foundation and higher tier GCSE. Mark, the teacher, along with his assistant, puts in a ton of effort to provide the support that students really need.

I can't suggest working with Tutorfair for tutors. Their customer support, whether from them directly or through their partners like TutorMate, has been lacking on several occasions. I dealt with unhelpful responses, my DBS got lost for months, and eventually, I was unable to message potential clients who had posted on the site because my first (and only) client chose not to continue after just one trial lesson. Just to give you some context, I've been tutoring for 8 years, and this has been my worst experience with any tutoring agency. Sadly, I can't point out anything good about it, as all the hours and logins over a long stretch only led to me earning less than £10. I'd suggest you look into other tutoring platforms instead.

Mark's math sessions are fantastic! His teaching style is super easy to grasp. He really knows how to motivate you, making studying enjoyable—something I’ve never experienced before! Great job, Mark, you turned it into a fun experience. Thanks a bunch!

My kid loves these weekly sessions with Mark. Asher does a fantastic job organizing everything—sending out reminders, sheets, links, and answers. I can't say enough good things about how well it's all put together.

Mark has a way of making the lessons super clear, and honestly, I believe my son really looks forward to his online lessons with Mark!!!

I truly enjoy using TUTORFAIR since it’s super helpful for me, but man, it moves a little too fast!
